The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to preserve the history and impact of western women writers living roughly from 1850 to the present -- the novelist, the screenwriter, the songwriter, the photographer,  the journalist, the poet. Today, there are  only eighteen amazing women who have been inducted into the Women Who Write the West Hall of Fame since 1975. Why so few?  Because it is an exclusive club and standards are high
